November’s Car-Market Calendar Starts With Fuel and Prices, Then Turns to Trade
Geostat’s November calendar puts October consumer prices first, followed by trade and transport releases that will give the autumn market a fuller outline.
3 November: the cost of buying and using a car
The first date for motorists is 3 November, when Geostat plans to publish the October 2026 Consumer Price Index. The transport detail will put vehicle purchase prices beside fuel and maintenance. Those lines answer different budget questions: the cost of replacing a car and the cost of continuing to run it.
AutoBridge’s October offer provides a separate buying reference: 6,525 new advertisements, a $14,500 median ask and a 2021 median model year. Reading that offer alongside the official price release will help explain which part of the motoring budget changed.
10 November: a second inflation reference
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for October is scheduled for 10 November. It supplies a further inflation comparison under the harmonised classification. For the car-market reader, the useful question is how the transport movement sits beside the broader price picture.
The release also gives editors time to revisit the first inflation reading with its detailed tables in hand. A consistent period matters when comparing purchase costs with recurring spending.
13 and 19 November: the October trading month
13 November is the planned date for the October express external-trade release. 19 November brings the detailed external-trade statistics for October. The first establishes the wider trade picture; the second is the date to examine motor-car trade in detail.
For an automotive story, values, vehicle numbers and destinations answer separate questions. Changes in declared value can accompany changes in vehicle mix. The detailed release is the point to check how October fits the preceding months.
19 and 20 November: transport volume and service prices
Geostat also schedules third-quarter transport indicators for 19 November. They will add a quarterly view of transport activity beside the monthly trade figures.
The October producer-price index for transportation and storage services follows on 20 November. Transport activity and service prices belong together when assessing logistics, while the price of a particular delivery still comes from a route-specific quotation.
The sequence for November coverage
The month starts with the household motoring bill, moves to trade and then adds transport activity and service prices. For AutoBridge, the strongest combination is a new official release paired with a current view of the cars buyers can actually choose.
The calendar was checked on 1 November 2026. The dates above are Geostat’s planned publication dates. AutoBridge will use each release’s stated reference period when comparing it with advertised offers.
