Only 26.9% of Georgia’s 2021-and-Newer Car Offers Are Already Cleared
The newer-model offer contains 8,491 advertisements, but the cleared shortlist has 2,283 cars and a much higher price midpoint.
The newer-model offer divides unevenly
Georgia’s advertised offer contains 8,491 passenger cars from model year 2021 onwards. Of these, 2,283 are advertised as customs-cleared, a 26.9% share. The remaining 6,208 await clearance.
The figures, read on 1 November 2026, put a practical boundary around a search for a newer car. A buyer who chooses an already cleared vehicle starts with a much smaller set than the full model-year selection.

Two different asking-price starting points
The cleared group has a $27,500 median asking price. The group awaiting clearance centres on $16,200. These are separate sets of offers, with their own mix of models, equipment and condition.
For a shopper using a single price ceiling, switching the clearance requirement changes which cars appear in the shortlist. The vehicle’s model, engine and documents then establish the purchase calculation for that particular offer.

Below $15,000, cleared choices become scarce
Among the 2021-and-newer offers, 333 cleared cars are priced below $15,000. The group awaiting clearance contains 2,590 offers below that same limit.
The difference matters early in a search. A headline budget that opens thousands of newer-model offers can become a list of hundreds once clearance is required. Model choice, equipment and the inspection results then determine how useful that smaller list is.

The preceding model years give a different balance
In the 2017–2020 model-year band, there are 2,406 cleared offers and 2,174 awaiting clearance. Their asking-price medians are $15,000 and $12,500, respectively.
The cleared side therefore has more advertisements in that earlier band, and its price midpoint sits at a common budget threshold. For buyers with a firm spending limit, widening the model-year range can open an alternative set of vehicles with completed clearance.
Set the clearance requirement before comparing prices
The model-year setting and the clearance requirement work together. For a newer car, the cleared choice is about a quarter of the offer; in the preceding year band, cleared vehicles form the larger group.
Starting with the required clearance position makes the later comparisons more concrete: the same budget can be tested against model year, mileage and equipment on a shortlist that fits the intended purchase. Observation date: 1 November 2026; the figures are sellers’ asking prices.
