A Cleared Sedan Below $15,000: Three Routes Into a Newer Model Year
Jetta and Elantra offers centre on model year 2021; Camry offers centre on 2020, with a higher asking price and more stated mileage.
The budget reaches beyond older cars
A buyer looking below $15,000 can still find cleared petrol sedans from 2019 onwards in Georgia. Three sizeable groups in the 1 November 2026 offer are Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Camry. Together, they contain 109 advertisements.
The choice is more specific than a brand ranking. Each group fits the same price ceiling, clearance position and minimum model year, while presenting a different combination of asking price and stated mileage.
Median asking prices within the sedan shortlist
Cleared petrol offers, 2019+, below $15,000; 1 November.
Elantra sets the lowest price midpoint
The 31 Hyundai Elantra offers have a $10,500 median ask, a 2021 median model year and 88,000 km median stated mileage. Their price midpoint is the lowest of the three groups.
The 44 Volkswagen Jetta offers also centre on 2021, with a $11,200 median ask and 96,000 km median mileage. Against the Elantra group, the price midpoint is $700 higher, with 8,000 km more stated mileage.

Camry asks more within the same budget
The 34 Toyota Camry offers have a $13,200 median ask. Their median model year is 2020, and median stated mileage is 128,000 km.
That places the Camry midpoint $2,700 above Elantra and $2,000 above Jetta. It also comes with an older model-year midpoint and higher mileage. A buyer choosing Camry in this range is therefore making a different trade-off from one choosing the other two sedans.

Keep room below the spending ceiling
At the group midpoints, the distance to a $15,000 ceiling is $4,500 for Elantra, $3,800 for Jetta and $1,800 for Camry. That is the part of the budget left before any vehicle-specific inspection findings or work are priced.
The inspection should settle the items that an aggregate cannot choose for the buyer: accident repairs, service history, transmission behaviour and the condition of the particular engine. The widest price gap matters less if the individual car needs expensive work.
Start with the combination you want
Elantra offers the lowest asking-price midpoint here. Jetta has the largest number of offers and the same median model year. Camry uses more of the budget, with a higher mileage midpoint.
For a first shortlist, choose the model-year and mileage combination that suits the purchase, then compare equipment and history within it. Prices and stated mileage refer to the 1 November offer; the advertised model year is the vehicle-year reference used throughout.
