What "sold" means here

This article tracks vehicles that disappeared from active listings during June 2026 — meaning they were either sold, withdrawn, or otherwise removed. We call this "sold" for brevity, but it is a removal-based proxy, not a transaction registry. The base is 5,480 cars, median ask price $13,500, median time-to-removal 22 days.

This is the first in a planned monthly series: a plain-language ranking of what the market actually consumed, distinct from what's sitting on the shelf.

The top models

| Rank | Model | Units sold | Median price |

|------|-------|-----------|-------------|

| 1 | Toyota Camry | 228 | $13,400 |

| 2 | BMW X5 | 194 | $21,750 |

| 3 | Hyundai Elantra | 192 | — |

| 4 | Toyota RAV4 | 190 | — |

| 5 | Subaru Outback | 133 | — |

| 6 | Subaru Forester | 127 | — |

| 7 | VW Jetta | 113 | — |

| 8 | Ford Fusion | 101 | — |

| 9 | Hyundai Tucson | 68 | — |

| 10 | Toyota Prius | 67 | — |

| 11 | Toyota Highlander | 66 | — |

| 12 | Kia Forte | 64 | — |

| 13 | Honda FIT | 61 | — |

| 14 | Kia Seltos | 54 | — |

| 15 | Chevy Trailblazer | 54 | — |

The top of the list is no surprise — the Camry has been Georgia's most-listed and most-sold car for as long as we've been tracking. But look at position 2: the BMW X5 at $21,750 outsold the Hyundai Elantra. This is not a budget-only market.

The top brands

| Brand | Share of June sales | Median price |

|-------|-------------------|-------------|

| Toyota | 16.9% | $14,700 |

| BMW | 11.9% | $21,000 |

| Mercedes | 10.0% | $22,300 |

| Hyundai | 7.7% | — |

| Subaru | 6.9% | — |

| Kia | 5.1% | — |

| Honda | 5.1% | — |

| Lexus | 4.7% | — |

| Ford | 4.4% | — |

The headline number here: German premium (BMW + Mercedes + Lexus) = 27% of June sales. More than one in four cars that left the market in June was a BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus. This is the counter to the "cheap-import market" cliché — Georgia's active buyer base has a substantial premium tier.

The fastest movers (n ≥ 30)

These are the cars that disappeared fastest — lowest median days-to-removal, with at least 30 units sold to ensure statistical robustness:

| Model | Days to sell | Median price | Cluster |

|-------|-------------|-------------|---------|

| Mercedes C300 | 8 days | $16,650 | Premium |

| Lexus NX300 | 10 days | $18,700 | Premium |

| Toyota Prius | 10 days | $6,300 | Efficient hybrid |

| Honda FIT | 10 days | $5,200 | Budget efficient |

| Toyota Aqua | 10 days | $5,950 | Budget hybrid |

| Honda Freed | 12 days | — | Practical |

| Tesla Model 3 | 13 days | $14,500 | Electric |

| Hyundai Tucson | 15 days | — | Mainstream SUV |

| Subaru Forester | 15 days | — | Mainstream SUV |

| BMW 328 | 15 days | — | Premium |

Two distinct clusters fly off the lot: cheap efficient hybrids (Prius, FIT, Aqua — all under $6,500) and desirable premium (C300, NX300, Model 3). The middle of the market moves more slowly.

Price bands of what sold

| Price band | Share of June sales |

|-----------|-------------------|

| Under $5,000 | 7.2% |

| $5,000–$10,000 | 25.4% |

| $10,000–$15,000 | 24.4% |

| $15,000–$25,000 | 23.8% |

| $25,000–$40,000 | 11.4% |

| Over $40,000 | 7.9% |

The sweet spot is $5,000–$25,000 = 73.6% of all sales. The budget end ($5–10k) slightly outsold the mid-range ($10–15k), but the three middle bands together account for nearly three-quarters of the market. Premium ($40k+) is a real but niche slice at under 8%.

Why this matters for buyers

If you're shopping in Georgia, this data tells you what the market actually values — not what's advertised, but what gets bought. The Camry is king because it hits the median price ($13,400) and sells in volume. The fastest movers tell you where competition is fiercest: if you see a clean Prius at $6,300 or a C300 at $16,650, expect it to move within two weeks. And the premium tier's 27% share is a reminder that this is not just a market for budget imports — it's a market where a BMW X5 is the #2 best-seller.

Evidence base and methodology

  • Source: AutoBridge canonical dataset, removal-tracking pull 2026-07-05. Canonical filter: vehicle_type='car' AND is_hidden=false AND listed_at>='2026-03-01' AND price_usd>=2000. "Sold" = removed from active listings during June 2026 (status changed to removed/sold).
  • Sample: 5,480 vehicles removed in June 2026. Median ask $13,500. Median time-to-removal 22 days.
  • Caveat: "Sold" is a removal proxy. Some removals may be relists, withdrawals, or data corrections — not every removal is a sale. We use "sold" as shorthand for "left the active market."
  • Brand share: computed on the subset of vehicles with an identified brand (excluding blank/unspecified make). Model counts are exact; price medians are shown only where sample ≥ 30 for the specific model.
