Which Models Hold Value Best?

We calculated the compound annual depreciation rate for 58 make+model combinations on the Georgian market. The results challenge common assumptions — popular mass-market brands don't always guarantee value retention.

Toyota Aqua actually gains value over time due to high demand for affordable hybrids. At the other extreme, Mazda CX-5 loses over 22% per year — driven by aggressive initial pricing and market saturation from recent model-year imports.

How the Top Models Depreciate

The depreciation curves for the eight most popular models reveal distinct patterns. Some models show a sharp initial drop followed by stabilization, while others maintain a steady decline.

Toyota Camry and RAV4 show the classic curve — rapid early depreciation that flattens around the 6-7 year mark. BMW X5, despite premium pricing, depreciates steeply from year 5 onward.
