Georgia imported 5,168 cars from China in January–July — 52% more cars, 72% more value — while 104 Chinese-brand cars are advertised.
The trade number keeps climbing
According to Geostat's detailed January–July release, motor-car imports sent from
China reached 5,168 units worth $48.95 million — up from **3,402 units worth
$28.4 million a year earlier: +52% in units, +72% in value**. The first half
alone recorded 4,185 units, leaving roughly 980 cars for July.
The advertised stock remains steady
The advertised stock on 23 August contains **104 Chinese-brand listings in total,
of which 100 are from model year 2020 and newer, across 18 marques** — against 100
newer-model listings across 19 marques counted on 3 August. The leading-marque table

Of the 104 listings, 72.1% still await customs clearance, compared with 57.2% in
the wider advertised market. Chinese-brand stock has the larger uncleared share in
this reading.
Reading the two totals
The trade total counts cars _sent from_ China, while the advertised total counts cars
_branded_ Chinese. A car sent from China can carry a German VIN, and a Chinese-brand
car can arrive through another country, so the two totals describe separate stages of
the market. The flow through the lane is growing fast, while the advertised Chinese-
brand stock remains small.
